There have been numerous design changes to the trestle stand. Depending on when a given Trestle Stand and Flip loom were built, you may need additional hardware for your loom. For very old looms, you may also have to install a retrofit insert kit.

As of October 2022, the Trestle Stand comes with hardware to attach the current folding Flip loom only. (Previous Flip looms had gears on the inside and no insert for the Trestle Stand.)

• If you wish to install an original Tapestry Loom on the Trestle Stand, you will need this hardware.
• If you wish to install a non-folding original rigid heddle loom on the Trestle Stand, you will need this hardware and a retrofit insert kit.
• If your Flip loom doesn't have inserts near the front beam, you will need a retrofit insert kit.

To install an insert kit, you should be handy and confident using power tools to drill holes and fearless in measuring. Please contact Customer Service if you are purchasing the Trestle Stand for something other than the current Flip Loom.
